New classes, properties, and APIs to give you more control
In order to give you more control over the Instabug products you use, new classes and properties have been introduced and various APIs have been moved, renamed, and deprecated.
These changes affect users of all Instabug products across all OS platforms, so please update to the latest SDK version and follow the migration guides below.
SDK V8.1 Migration Guides:
If you use In-App Chat
The changes in today’s release give you more control over how your app users can send you messages. Those of you who want to disable inbound messages from your app users can now do so without affecting the conversations you have with users who send bug reports and feedback. This means that, if you desire, only users who send you bug reports and feedback will be able to reply to your messages and access their chat history in your app. You can find more details in the migration guides above.
If you use Bug Reporting & Feedback, Crash Reporting, In-App Surveys, and Feature Requests
This newest SDK update builds on the changes we made in Instabug SDK V8.0 to make our APIs more intuitive, organized, and easier for you to use. The changes in SDK V8.1 that affect you include modifying some APIs and removing the APIs that were deprecated in V8.0. For more details about what’s new, please check the migration guides above.
