Since the rebranding last year, Instabug has been known as the platform for real-time contextual insights. We’re the SDK you install when you want to know what’s happening with your app’s stability, performance, and reception — and you get your data in real-time, so you can make informed decisions with the latest and most comprehensive information. Now, we’re making that decision process easier by crunching the numbers and bringing them to your dashboard. Let’s introduce you to insights for bug reporting & feedback: the easiest way to monitor your feedback volume and team performance.
Your bug reporting & feedback page has three main sections: Summary, Drilldown, and Team Performance. Get the at-a-glance numbers from your Summary and more detailed information from the Drilldown. Your Team Performance section gives you valuable data regarding your team responsiveness.
Summary

See bugs, crashes, and suggestions plotted on your Summary chart.
Your overall summary begins with a line chart showing how many of each type of report you’ve received in the designated time frame. Each line corresponds to a different type of report: red for bug reports, green for improvement suggestions, and blue for questions.

Use filters to narrow down your data range.
You can adjust the data displayed by selecting from the filters at the top of the page. Choose insights from All Time or a specified time frame. You can also select which versions you’d like to see data for. From the dropdown menu at the top, you can select whether you’d like to see bugs, improvements, questions, or all. The tabs at the top of the page will give you an instant view of how you’re doing for the day, week, month, or quarter. Hover your mouse over the line to see raw numbers.

See how many unique users sent feedback, as well as your bug reporter leaderboard.
Underneath your summary, you’ll see another chart showing how many unique reporters, or users, sent you feedback. How engaged are your testers? This is where you find out. Do you want to know who your most helpful and prolific reporters are? The table on the right is your tester leaderboard, showing the email address and the number of reports for your top ten reporters.
Drilldown

See the number of bug reports by app version. You can hover for additional info.
The drilldown section really digs into the details. It starts with a stacked area chart showing how many bug reports you’ve received per version. Click on any version number in the legend below to see that version’s data highlighted.

See your distribution of bug reports sorted by tags and categories.
Next, you have your bug report breakdown sorted by category and tag. Where are your biggest problem areas? You can see how many reports you’ve received for each category. Hover over any line or item in the legend to see that category highlighted along with the raw numbers.
Team performance
The final section on this page is the Team Performance section, which gives you important data about how responsive your team is to bug reports.

Get insights about your team performance. Hover over any line to get more details.
The first bar graph shows how many reports you closed within a specified time frame. The total number of reports you received is shown in blue and the number closed in green. Note that the number of closed bug reports is reflected on the day the report was received, not the day the report was closed. So, if you received the bug report on the 29th of January and you closed it on the 30th, you’ll see the number of closed reports for the 29th increase. This ensures you know what percentage of bug reports you receive every day are eventually closed.
Just below, there’s a line chart that gives you the average number of hours it took to close the bug report within the specified time frame. Change the filters at the top of the page if you’d like to see data for another time period.

Use the Team Performance section to evaluate your responsiveness and aim to improve.
The next graph on the page shows how many reports your team has replied to next to the total number of bug reports received. Just below, the line chart shows the average number of minutes it took to send your first reply to a bug report. These KPIs will help you monitor your team responsiveness and aim to improve over time.
